The mission of the Italian Independent Winegrowers (from the website) is to:
Defend the interests of its members in the moral, technical, social, economic and administrative fields. Participate in viticultural development policies on a local, national and European scale. Propose economic measures and legislative regulations in the interest of Independent Winegrowers. Propose and promote a sustainable and rational economic organization of wine. Dialogue with the public authorities with the aim of expressing the specific problems of Independent Winegrowers. Coordinate and strengthen the actions of local delegations through the contribution of the area delegates and promote the creation of new territorial realities.
